HOW IT STARTED
After 3 years of building and remodeling homes with my carpenter husband, I am ready to share all of my design notes that I have so far.
My name is Meg and my husband, Josh, and I owned a construction business. We joined forces for a flip house which snowballed into getting remodeling jobs for clients. Since then, I have learned so much about the construction side along with getting to put my design skills to the test.
I have so many notes in my Notes app, that I feel ready to take on a blog and share all the knowledge that I've learned along the way. I have also always wanted to do a design blog, and I turned 30 this year so I thought now would be as good of time as any.
I have major imposter syndrome calling myself an interior designer, but I am trying to embrace it. Also, did you notice I said my design notes so far? Even though Josh and I have decided to take a break from our construction business, I am still working as a project manager and cultivating my design skills at the same time. I am also learning a ton about the construction side, which I plan to also share. I figure my advice could help you manage your own home project.
